Fiscal 2018 Environmental Performance Data

Production Volume and Energy Consumption Intensity

Production Volume and Energy Consumption Intensity

The energy consumption in fiscal 2018 was 93.5% compared to fiscal 2013 and we have succeeded in making continuous improvement of 1% or more per year. The production volume is expected to increase in fiscal 2019. In the circumstances, we will continue to promote more efficient energy savings by continuing energy saving and high-efficiency operation at each manufacturing plant.

CO2 emissions intensity

CO2 emissions intensity

The CO2 emission intensity in fiscal 2018 was 91.5% compared to that in fiscal 2013 and we have succeeded in making continuous improvement of 1% or more per year. An increase in CO2 emissions is expected due to an increase in production volume. In the circumstances, we will continue to promote efficient energy savings at each manufacturing plant.

Final Disposal Amount and Waste Emission Ratio

The efforts to reduce the final disposal amount show their effects in our company alone, but due to an increase in production at overseas affiliates, the amount of final disposal will increase. In the circumstances, we will endeavor to reduce the amount of waste generated by recycling and continue to achieve zero emissions in collaboration with the mother factory in Japan and relevant departments.
